Abstract:
An air conditioner has: an injection pipe for injecting a liquid refrigerant to the inlet side of a compressor; a liquid refrigerant supplying device that is provided between a heat-source side heat exchanger and a use side heat exchanger and that supplies, to the injection pipe, the liquid refrigerant from the refrigerant flowing between the heat-source side heat exchanger and the use-side heat exchanger; a flow rate control device that is provided on the injection pipe, that places the liquid refrigerant being supplied from the liquid refrigerant supplying device into a gas-liquid two-phase state by reducing the pressure of the same, and that controls the flow rate of the refrigerant that is supplied to the inlet side of the compressor; and a control means that controls the amount that the flow rate control device is opened. The control means controls the amount that the flow rate control device is opened on the basis of the discharge temperature that is detected by a discharge temperature sensor, and, when the number of a plurality of use-side heat exchangers that are in heating operations is decreased, controls the amount that the flow rate control device is opened in accordance with the rate of change of the number of operating units.
