Abstract:
An air conditioner comprising an inrush current prevention circuit that prevents an inrush current from an AC power supply to a power conversion circuit, wherein the inrush current prevention circuit (202) comprises: a coil (28); a relay contact (24) provided between the AC power supply (110) and the power conversion circuit (201), the relay contact being switched from an open state to a closed state via excitation of the coil (28); and a first switching element (31) that generates, in the coil (28), a first voltage that switches the relay contact (24) from an open state to a closed state. The inrush current prevention circuit (202) comprises: a second switching element (33) that generates, in the coil (28), a second voltage that is lower than the first voltage and holds the closed state of the relay contact (24); and a control unit (34) that, after the first voltage has been generated in the coil (28), puts the first switching element (31) and the second switching element (33) in an ON state in a complementary manner two or more times.
