Abstract:
An air conditioner provided with a compressor, a pressure switch, a thermostat, and a control device. The pressure switch turns off when the refrigerant pressure on the discharge side of the compressor is greater than or equal to a first pressure, and turns on when the pressure is less than or equal to a second pressure that is lower than the first pressure. The thermostat turns off when the temperature of the compressor or the refrigerant on the discharge side of the compressor is greater than or equal to a first temperature, and turns on when the temperature is less than or equal to a second temperature that is lower than the first temperature. The control device operates the compressor when the pressure switch and the thermostat are on, and stops the operation of the compressor when the pressure switch and/or the thermostat is off. The control device determines that the state of the pressure switch has changed when an abnormality detection time, which is the time from stopping of the operation of the compressor until restarting thereof, is less than a reference time, and determines that the state of the thermostat has changed when the abnormality detection time is greater than or equal to the reference time.
