Abstract:
Provided is an air conditioning apparatus that is capable of performing high-efficiency operation without stopping heating even when the outside air temperature is low. The air conditioning apparatus is provided with: a switching circuit 110 that is capable of, at the time of frost formation, distributing, to an indoor heat exchanger 200, a refrigerant discharged from a first compressor 101 which is driven by an engine 101a and distributing, to an outdoor heat exchanger 105, a refrigerant discharged from a second compressor 102 which is driven by a motor 101b; and an exhaust heat exchanger 108a that heats a refrigerant having been condensed in the outdoor heat exchanger 105 and in the indoor heat exchanger 200, in an intermediate bypass pipe having one end connected to an intermediate-pressure refrigerant circuit through which an intermediate-temperature intermediate-pressure refrigerant passes and having the other end connected to a low-pressure refrigerant circuit through which a low-pressure refrigerant passes.
