Title:
AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2021/161407
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
An air conditioning system comprising: a plurality of indoor units that condition the air indoors; an outdoor unit that supplies refrigerant to each of the indoor units; refrigerant piping having a branch section that branches in parallel to each of the indoor units, the refrigerant piping connecting the outdoor unit and each of the indoor units via the branch section, being divided into a plurality of flow segments, and being such that the refrigerant flows through the interior thereof; a plurality of control valves provided to the refrigerant piping so as to be positioned at both ends of each of the flow segments, the control valves controlling the flow of refrigerant in the flow segments; a plurality of pressure sensors in the refrigerant piping, the pressure sensors measuring the pressure of the refrigerant flowing through the refrigerant piping; and a control unit connected to the plurality of control valves, the control unit controlling the plurality of control valves. The control valves include indoor unit control valves provided to the plurality of control units, and a plurality of piping control valves provided to the refrigerant piping. The piping control valves include a plurality of indoor-side piping control valves provided partway from the branch section to the indoor units. The pressure sensors are connected to the control unit and include a plurality of indoor-side pressure sensors provided between the indoor unit control valves and the indoor-side piping control valves. The control unit has: an opening/closing means that opens and closes the control valves connected to the control unit; a first comparison means that compares the pressure of the refrigerant measured by each of the indoor-side pressure sensors and a predetermined threshold value for a plurality of flow segments in which control valves closed by the opening/closing means are positioned at both ends; and a first sensing means that senses that refrigerant is leaking in flow segments for which the first comparison means has assessed that the pressure of the refrigerant measured by the indoor-side pressure sensors is less than the predetermined threshold value.
