Abstract:
Provided is an air electrode or a water electrolysis anode in which the catalyst activity is higher than in carbon black and in which there is no concern of oxidation degradation, the air electrode or water electrolysis anode being used particularly in a metal air cell or a water electrolysis device. This air electrode or water electrolysis anode is used in a metal air cell or a water electrolysis device, wherein the electrode or water electrolysis anode contains an electron-conductive material represented by LaNi1 - x - yCuxFeyO3 - δ (where x > 0, y > 0, x + y < 1, and 0 ≤ δ ≤ 0.4).
