[Problem] To provide an air filter by which it is possible to prevent an air leak that occurs from a corner part of a filter frame. [Solution] The air filter is provided with: a pleated filter material 20 folded in a zig-zag shape along fold lines extending in a first direction, the pleated filter material 20 having peak parts and trough parts that alternately appear along a second direction orthogonal to the first direction; a filter frame 10 having a pair of first frame materials 11 facing each other in the second direction and extending along the first direction, and a pair of second frame materials 12 facing each other in the first direction and extending along the second direction, the filter frame 10 opening in an air flow direction orthogonal to the first direction and the second direction, the filter frame 10 having a rectangular shape accommodating the pleated filter material 20, the filter frame 10 having an overlap part 15 where each end part of each of the first frame materials 11 in the first direction and each end part of each of the second frame materials 12 in the second direction overlap each other; and a buffer material 60 disposed between at least the second frame materials 12 of the filter frame 10 and the pleated filter material 20 and sandwiched between the opposite sides of the overlap part 15.
