Abstract:
This air foil journal bearing comprises: a bearing housing having an inner surface that forms a cavity into which a rotation shaft can be inserted; an air foil that surrounds at least 180 degrees to 360 degrees of the outer surface of the rotation shaft when the rotation shaft is inserted into the cavity; and a ring member that surrounds the outer surface of the bearing housing. The bearing housing includes an insertion slit that passes from the inner surface of the bearing housing to the outer surface of the bearing housing. The air foil is bent in a radial direction of the air foil from a circumferential direction of the bearing housing and includes an insertion portion that is inserted into the bearing housing via the insertion slit. The air foil may be connected to the outer surface of the ring member via the insertion portion.
