Abstract:
The present invention relates to an air foil journal bearing comprising a bump foil and a top foil, wherein one end and the other end of the top foil in the circumferential direction are arranged with a step difference from each other in the radial direction, and assuming that the direction in which the top foil extends from one end to the other end and the direction of rotation of a rotor disposed inside the top foil and rotated are the same, the one end of the top foil is disposed more inward than the other end of the top foil in the radial direction, so that additional fluid dynamic pressure is generated inside the bearing to suppress asynchronous vibration components which affect noise during high-speed driving, thereby improving driving stability.
