Abstract:
An air intake control device has a throttle body (10) defining four intake passages
(11) and having throttle valves (20, 30) and also has a control valve unit (100)
for introducing, during engine idle operation, air from the upstream side to
the downstream side of the intake passages (11) while causing the air to bypass
the throttle valves. The control valve unit (100) has an intake passage (101a),
a housing (101) defining four discharge passages (101b), and control valves
(102, 103) for controlling the amount of air. The throttle body (10) has four
introduction passages (16, 17, 18, 19). The housing (101) is directly coupled
to the throttle body (10). The upper two discharge passages (101b) are directly
communicated with introduction passages (16, 17), and lower two discharge passages
(101b) are communicated with the introduction passages (18, 19) through piping
(120, 130). The device can be simplified, downsized, manufactured at low cost,
and improved in the easiness of mounting.
