Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for controlling an air purification device, the method comprising the steps of: measuring the heater temperature of a platinum catalyst filter of the air purification device; measuring the flow velocity by a flow velocity sensor installed in a blowing channel of the air purification device if the heater temperature of the platinum catalyst filter measured in the step of measuring the heater temperature of the platinum catalyst filter is below a reference temperature; and slowing down or stopping a first suction fan and/or a second suction fan if the flow velocity measured in the step of measuring the flow velocity by the flow velocity sensor exceeds a predetermined upper limit. The method for controlling an air purification device according to the present invention is advantageous in that the filtering performance of an air purification device can be controlled optimally by controlling the temperature of a platinum catalyst filter in the air purification device and the flow velocity of air flowing into the platinum catalyst filter.
