Abstract:
Provided is an air purification device provided with: a photocatalyst filter (24) arranged in an air passage (100) and having a photocatalyst (P); and a first irradiation member (D1, LG1) for irradiating the photocatalyst filter with light capable of activating the photocatalyst. The air purification device is also provided with a second irradiation member (D2, LG2) for irradiating the photocatalyst filter with light capable of activating the photocatalyst. In the photocatalyst filter, an air inflow surface (24A) is formed on one side of the photocatalyst filter as observed in the thickness direction, and an air outflow surface (24B) is formed on the other side of the photocatalyst filter as observed in the thickness direction. The first irradiation member is arranged upstream of the air inflow surface. The second irradiation member is arranged downstream of the air outflow surface in such a manner that the second irradiation member can face a position that is different from a position at which the illuminance of light emitted by the first irradiation member becomes highest on the air outflow surface.
