Abstract:
An air purification device (1) comprises: a casing (10) that forms an air passage (11); a blower (14) that generates airflow in the air passage; and a photocatalytic filter (51, 52) that is placed in the air passage and has a photocatalyst. The air purification device is equipped with a light source device (54) that irradiates the photocatalytic filter with light that activates the photocatalyst, and an equipment control unit (100a) that controls the blower and the light source device. The equipment control unit controls the blower and the light source device so that the capacity of the blower and/or the light source device at the timing when the blower switches from off to on is lower than the maximum capacity at least in the initial stage of room entry.
