The present invention relates to an air separation apparatus and method using Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) cold energy. The air separation apparatus using LNG cold energy comprises an air compression and purification system for compressing and purifying raw material air, a large cold box system for rectifying the compressed and purified raw material air to obtain an air separation product, a small cold box system for realizing heat exchange between LNG and nitrogen which provides cold energy for the large cold box system, a refrigerant circulation system using natural gas cold energy from the small cold box system, and a coolant circulation system using natural gas cold energy from the refrigerant circulation system. By means of the air separation method using LNG cold energy, the cold energy of LNG is successively used for rectifying the raw material air, exchanging heat with the refrigerant, and exchanging heat with the coolant. The present invention implements the fullest gradient utilization of the cold energy of LNG, the unit energy consumption of a liquid air separation product is further reduced, the device investment can be saved, and better economic benefits and emission reduction benefits are achieved.
