Abstract:
The present invention uses an airbag to facilitate a reduction in a release speed of an occupant. An airbag device (40) mounted to a vehicle (10) and provided with an airbag (42) which deploys around an occupant, the airbag device (40) comprising a detachment unit (43) which detaches the airbag (42) from the vehicle (10), a detection unit (44C) which detects the elapsed time since the deployment of the airbag (42), and a detachment control unit (44D) which detaches the airbag (42) by the detachment unit (43) when the elapsed time detected by the detection unit (44C) satisfies a predetermined condition including a first condition in which this elapsed time exceeds a time threshold value.
