Abstract:
The objective of the present disclosure is to provide a feature that can prevent damage to an airbag while suppressing an increase in manufacturing costs of the airbag. This airbag module is mounted at a front portion or a rear portion of a vehicle. The airbag module comprises: a body portion which is arranged in the vehicle and includes a storage space for storing an airbag; an opening portion through which the storage space and the outside of the bottom surface of the vehicle are in communication with each other is arranged so as to face the ground surface; the airbag, which is stored in the storage space is, through the supply of gas, deployed from the opening portion to a gap between the bottom surface of the vehicle and the ground surface; and a cover to which at least a part of the airbag stored in the storage space is fixed and which covers the opening portion is configured to be detached integrally with the airbag from the body portion when the airbag is deployed.
