Abstract:
Provided are: an airtight terminal which is devised so that a can case and the airtight terminal can be sealed together in a simpler and less inexpensive way; an electric device package; and a method for manufacturing an electric device package. Provided is an airtight terminal comprising: a lid body made of a dish-shaped metal thin plate having a through-hole in a plate surface thereof; a lead penetrating through the through-hole of the lid body; and an insulating material sealing the lead and the lid body together in an airtight manner. The lid body includes, along a peripheral portion thereof, an engaging portion for seamed sealing with the can case. The airtight terminal is further provided with: a lid body made of a dish-shaped metal thin plate having a through-hole; a metal ring which is passed through the through-hole of the lid body and is fixed to the lid body in an airtight manner; a lead penetrating through the metal ring; and an insulating material sealing the lead and the metal ring together in an airtight manner. The lid body may be deformed along the peripheral portion thereof into an airtight terminal having an engaging portion for seamed sealing with the can case.
