Title:
Al ALLOY RECOVERY METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2019/077892
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is an Al alloy recovery method capable of producing a recovered Al alloy (molten metal), in which Fe concentration and Si concentration are efficiently reduced, while using scraps of Al alloy castings and the like as raw materials. The present invention is an Al alloy recovery method involving: a preparation step for preparing a first molten metal having a hypereutectic composition of Cu and Si by melting an Al alloy raw material; a holding step for holding the first molten metal at a separation temperature at which Si and Fe compounds crystalize; and an extraction step for extracting a second molten metal obtained by removing at least part of unmelted solids such as iron scraps or crystalized Si and Fe compounds from the first molten metal. According to this recovery method, the crystallized Si and Fe compounds can be easily separated, and the molten metal of recovered Al alloy with low concentrations of Fe and Si can be efficiently obtained.
