Disclosed are an alarm device for wire imprinting quality and a detection and alarm method thereof. The device can sound an alarm when an imprinting wheel stops or has a rotational speed that does not match a take-up speed, such that an operator can reset the apparatus, so as to reduce a rejection rate. The device comprises a pressing wheel (1) and an imprinting wheel (2), wherein the pressing wheel (1) is provided with a pressing wheel central shaft (3), the imprinting wheel (2) is provided with an imprinting wheel central shaft (4), external ring wheel rails of the pressing wheel (1) and the imprinting wheel (2) are vertically arranged, a gap between the external ring wheel rails of the pressing wheel (1) and the imprinting wheel (2) is used for placing a wire (5), the external ring wheel rails of the pressing wheel (1) and the imprinting wheel (2) have the same outer diameters, the pressing wheel central shaft (3) and the type wheel central shaft (4) are arranged in parallel, a first meter counter (6) is sleeved on the pressing wheel central shaft (3), a second meter counter (7) is sleeved on the imprinting wheel central shaft (4), and the first meter counter (6) and the second meter counter (7) have fixed positions in a detection state and do not allow a revolving action to be performed.
