Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing: an albumin measurement reagent using bromocresol purple; and a measurement method for albumin wherein an albumin measuring reagent has increased sensitivity. The present invention provides: an albumin measurement reagent that includes bromocresol purple and a quaternary ammonium salt having four alkyl chains with no more than 8 carbon atoms; and an albumin measurement method that includes reacting albumin and bromocresol purple in the presence of a quaternary ammonium salt having four alkyl chains with no more than 8 carbon atoms.
