Abstract:
Provided are: an alkylene oxide adduct manufacturing method capable of simultaneously achieving the ability to continuously manufacture an alkylene oxide adduct on a chosen scale from a small scale to a large scale, and the ability to continuously manufacture a high quality alkylene oxide adduct with no discoloration and with a narrow molecular weight distribution as a result of being able to control temperature and pressure during the addition reaction with high precision; and an alkylene oxide adduct thereof. An alkylene oxide adduct is manufactured by continuously supplying a specified amount of an alkylene oxide and a specified amount of an organic compound with an active hydrogen atom in a liquid state to a flow channel of 0.05 - 3.5 mm internal diameter using a microflow reactor comprising said flow channel and reacting same while passing same through the flow channel under conditions of a 70-200°C flow channel temperature and a 1-10 MPa pressure at the flow channel supply port.
