Title:
ALLOCATION DEVICE, SYSTEM, TASK ALLOCATION METHOD, AND PROGRAM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2020/004380
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is an allocation device that achieves task allocation to an edge server and a cloud server in a short time period, in an edge cloud system. The allocation device comprises an allocation determination unit. The allocation determination unit uses at least information pertaining to a CPU resource mounted in a first server and information pertaining to the network bandwidth connecting a first server and a second server and constructs a mixed integer programming problem. The allocation determination unit determines tasks to be allocated to the first and second servers, on the basis of the solution to the mixed integer programming problem. The first and second servers share and execute a plurality of tasks required to achieve an application. The allocation determination unit uses a specific constraint equation to achieve: determinations pertaining to which of each of the plurality of tasks will be allocated to the first or second server; and determinations of the boundary between tasks allocated to the first server and tasks allocated to the second server, out of the plurality of tasks.
