Abstract:
An aluminous porcelain that comprises alumina crystal grains, zirconia crystal grains, Ti, Mg and Si, wherein: the total content of Ti, Mg and Si, respectively in terms of TiO2, MgO and SiO2, is 1.4 mass% or more; when zirconia constituting the zirconia crystal grains is represented by ZrO2, in the zirconia crystal grains, the content of rare earth element(s) in terms of oxide(s) is 2 mol% or less relative to ZrO2; the zirconia crystal grains contain single grains having a maximum length of 1 μm or longer and/or aggregated grains having a maximum length of 1 μm or longer; and the sum of the ratios of the single grains having a maximum length of 1 μm or longer and the aggregated grains having a maximum length of 1 μm or longer is 50 vol% or more of the total zirconia crystal grains.
