Abstract:
The present invention provides: an aluminum-alloy brazing sheet fin material for heat exchangers which has high strength after heating for brazing and further has satisfactory resistance to high-temperature buckling, brazeability, and resistance to self-corrosion; and a process for producing the brazing sheet fin material.
The aluminum-alloy brazing sheet fin material according to the present invention is a fin material that comprises a core material, both surfaces of which have been clad with a brazing material, wherein the core material and the brazing material each have a given aluminum alloy composition. Before heating for brazing, the fin material has an average degree of cladding of 6-16% for each surface, a thickness of 40-120 µm, and an electrical conductivity of 48-54% IACS and the core material has a metallographic structure having a distribution in which an Mn-based compound having an equivalent circular diameter of 0.05-0.50 µm is present at an average grain-to-grain distance of 0.05-0.35 µm. After heating for brazing, the fin material has an electrical conductivity of 40-44% IACS and the core material has a metallographic structure having a distribution in which an Mn-based compound having an equivalent circular diameter of 0.50 µm or less is present at an average grain-to-grain distance of 0.45 µm or less.
