Abstract:

This aluminum alloy disk blank for a magnetic disk is formed from an aluminum alloy containing 0.005 to 1.800 mass% of Fe, the balance being Al and inevitable impurities, the aluminum alloy disk blank for a magnetic disk being characterized by undergoing a change in flatness of 2.0 μm or less when the same has been maintained in air at 50℃ or lower for 336 hours .
