Abstract:
The present invention provides an ammonia decomposition and hydrogen production system using a liquid metal, the system comprising: a post-reactor for combusting fuel or reacting the fuel with an oxidizing agent to generate a product; a first decomposition device for reacting the liquid metal accommodated therein with ammonia supplied from the outside, thereby decomposing the ammonia into hydrogen and nitrogen; and a heat exchanger for recovering waste heat included in the product transferred from the post-reactor, thereby exchanging heat with the liquid metal, wherein the liquid metal stores the waste heat as reaction heat, transfers the reaction heat to ammonia when the ammonia is being decomposed, and serves as a catalyst for decomposing the ammonia.
