Abstract:
The conventional amplifier apparatuses and receivers had a problem that their gains excessively vary when amplifying signals including noise. The amplifier apparatus and receiver of the present invention comprise variable−gain amplifier means for amplifying and outputting analog input signals&semi determining means for determining the signal levels of the analog input signals&semi selector means for selecting, among the signal levels determined by the determining means, a relatively high signal level&semi gain control means for controlling, based on the signal level selected by the selector means, the gain of the variable−gain amplifier means.
