Abstract:
Disclosed is an animal cell culture method for artificially re-constructing a high-density and/or large-sized tissue (organ) which is suitable in the field of artificial organs or regenerative medicine, particularly a culture method which can advantageously supply oxygen. The animal cell culture method is characterized by culturing an animal cell in the presence of a culture medium supplemented with a hemoglobin-containing oxygen carrier. Also disclosed is an animal cell culture kit comprising a culture medium supplemented with a hemoglobin-containing oxygen carrier.
