Abstract:

This anisotropic conductive film (1A) includes a dielectric adhesive layer (10) and conductive particles (2) disposed on the dielectric adhesive layer (10). In the anisotropic conductive film (1A), the array axes (A1) of the conductive particles (2) having a particle pitch (P1) extend in approximately the widthwise direction of the anisotropic conductive film (1A), and the array axes (A1) are continuously arranged with an axis pitch (P2) in the lengthwise direction of the anisotropic conductive film (1A). When a terminal array region of an electronic component to be connected to the anisotropic conductive film (1A) is superimposed on the anisotropic conductive film (1A) such that the lengthwise direction of each terminal matches the widthwise direction of the film, the particle pitch (P1) in the array axes (A1), the axis pitch (P2) of the array axes, and the angle (θ) between the array axes (A1) and the axis direction of the film (angle of inclination of the array axes) are determined according to the external shapes of terminals (21) such that 3-40 conductive particles (2) are present on each terminal (21). Accordingly, by using the anisotropic conductive film, stable connection reliability is obtained and an excessive increase in the density of conductive particles is suppressed, even in the connection of fine pitches.
