Abstract:
This anomaly detection system comprises: a sensor that is provided to a tool, and that measures the fluctuating physical quantity of the tool while a machine tool machines a to-be-machined object using the tool; and an anomaly detection device that detects an anomaly in the tool on the basis of measurement data from the sensor. The anomaly detection device includes: a synchronization unit that synchronizes subject data, which is time series measurement data from the sensor, and reference data, which represents time series measurement results of the physical quantity while the tool is in normal operation; a distance calculation unit that calculates the distance between the reference data and the subject data, which were synchronized by the synchronization unit; and an anomaly detection unit that detects an anomaly in the tool by comparing the distance calculated by the distance calculation unit to a threshold.
