Embodiments of the present application relate to the technical field of communications, and in particular to an antenna assembly, an antenna scanning method, and a terminal device. The antenna assembly comprises: a housing, the housing being internally provided with a mainboard and an antenna board connected to the mainboard, the antenna board being rotatable relative to the mainboard, and the mainboard being communicatively connected to the antenna board; a limiting component, which is used to limit the antenna board once the antenna board moves to an initial position; and a control module, which is used to control the antenna board to rotate towards a first direction or a second direction, wherein the control module is further used to control the antenna board to rotate towards the first direction until the antenna board rotates to the initial position, and obtain the signal strength received when the antenna board rotates to different positions; and the control module is further used to: once it is detected that the antenna board rotates to the initial position, control the antenna board to rotate towards the second direction, so that the antenna board rotates to a first position, the first position corresponding to a preset signal strength.
