Abstract:
This antenna device (1) comprises: a substrate (2), a first ground layer (6), a radiation electrode (12), and a waveguide structure (14). The waveguide structure (14) is configured with: a slit (15) positioned in an electric field direction of the radiation electrode (12) and provided in the first ground layer (6); and a conductor wall (16) surrounding the slit (15) and extending in the thickness direction of the substrate (2). The dimension (W) of the waveguide structure (14) in the magnetic field direction in a plan view is larger than 1/2 of the wavelength (λa) of the radio wave emitted by the radiation electrode (12) in the medium of the substrate (2). The length dimension (L) from the slit (15) to the longitudinal end portion (14A) of the waveguide structure (14) is approximately 1/4 of the wavelength of the radio wave emitted by the radiation electrode (12) inside the waveguide structure (14).
