Abstract:
[Problem] In a conventional antenna device, transmitted radio waves transmitted directly from a transmitting antenna toward a receiving antenna are blocked by a shielding wall disposed between the receiving antenna and the transmitting antenna; however, it has been a problem that a portion of the transmitted radio waves is diffracted by an end section of the shielding wall and enters the receiving antenna as diffracted waves, thus affecting the reception of received radio waves. [Solution] Accordingly, in the present invention, providing a shielding wall and a polarization conversion unit between a transmitting antenna unit and a receiving antenna unit causes vertically polarized components of diffracted waves to be converted by the polarization conversion unit into circularly polarized components, which are unlikely to affect the reception of received radio waves by a receiving antenna, thus suppressing the effect of diffracted waves on receiving operations by the receiving antenna.
