Abstract:
The objective of the invention is to achieve compatibility between the communication capability of a large-sized reader/writer and that of a small-sized IC tag, thereby enhancing NFC communication characteristics. Antenna equipment, which is incorporated in an electronic device (30) and communicates with an external device via electromagnetic field signals, comprises: a loop antenna (11) having a width that is the size of the loop antenna (11) in the width direction thereof and that is defined by two edges (11a) of the loop antenna (11) remote by respective predetermined distances at least from the respective ones of the two edges of the casing (32) of the electronic device in the width direction thereof, said loop antenna (11) consisting of a winding antenna coil (12) that is inductively coupled to the external device; and a magnetic sheet (20) that is made from a magnetic substance and that is placed on the opposite side of the loop antenna to the side thereof facing the external device, said magnetic sheet (20) extending at least from the two edges of the loop antenna in the width direction thereof toward the two edges (32a) of the casing in the width direction thereof.
