Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a slot array antenna in which slots are lined up in two directions, the weight of the antenna is restricted, and the antenna can inhibit the occurrence of side lobes. [Solution] An antenna (10) which has a waveguide section for radiation, and probes (18). The waveguide section for radiation has two sheets of plate metal, facing one another, and radiates electromagnetic waves from a plurality of slots (17) formed in one of the metal plates, to the exterior. The probes (18) are allocated to each of the slots (17) so as to extend from the surface in which the slots (17) are formed to the inside of the waveguide section for radiation, and change the direction in which electromagnetic waves are transmitted inside the waveguide section for radiation. The slots (17) are long and thin, and the intervals at which the slots (17) are arranged are fixed in both the lengthwise direction and the short-length direction. For each of the slots (17), the probes (18) are arranged on either one or the other side of the corresponding slot (17) in the short-length direction. The side, in the short-length direction, on which the probes are arranged is different for adjacent slots (17).
