Abstract:
This antenna mounting structure is for mounting an antenna on an outer panel of a vehicle. The antenna mounting structure comprises a metal base plate, and a reinforcing plate having electrical conductivity. The base plate has a back surface facing the outer panel, and a main surface opposite to the back surface. The base plate has an opening penetrating through the main surface to the back surface. An antenna is disposed on the upper side of the main surface of the base plate. The reinforcing plate is disposed on the main surface so as to extend across the opening of the base plate. The reinforcing plate is in contact with the main surface and extends along the main surface. The reinforcing plate is attracted to the outer panel via a coupling member that is inserted into the opening and that extends in the thickness direction of the base plate. The base plate and the reinforcing plate have a rotation-preventing structure for preventing relative rotation thereof.
