CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS

[0001] This application claims the priority of US Provisional Patent

Application with serial number No. 62154855, filed on April 30, 2015, with the tile, "Anti Hemorrhoid", and the content of which is incorporated herein by reference in its entirety.

BACKGROUND

Technical field

[0002] The embodiments herein generally relates to the herbal composition.

The embodiments herein particularly relate to a composition for targeting hemorrhoids. The embodiment herein more particularly relate to a herbal composition and method of synthesizing the herbal composition for targeting hemorrhoids.

Description of the Related Art

[0003] Hemorrhoids are a common clinical anorectal disease. Hemorrhoids are vascular structures in the anal canal. The hemorrhoids in their normal state are cushions that help with stool control. The hemorrhoids when swollen or inflamed become pathological or form piles. At this point the condition is technically known as hemorrhoidal disease. The signs and symptoms of hemorrhoids vary from individual to individual.

[0004] Various diseases of the anorectal region of the human body are characterized by inflammation, itching, and ulcerations. The anorectal region is generally comprises of the anus, rectum, and lower colon. In particular, hemorrhoids or piles are a common ailment of the anorectal region, and may be internally or externally located in the anorectal area. The veins in the anorectal area become inflamed and frequently result in itching. The causes of hemorrhoids include predisposing causes such as erect posture, heredity, occupation and diet, constipation, diarrhea, pregnancy, anal infection, pelvic tumors, rectal carcinoma, cardiac failure, portal hypertension, vomiting and physical exertion.

[0005] There are two main types of hemorrhoids: external hemorrhoids and internal hemorrhoids. Internal hemorrhoids are usually present with painless rectal bleeding. While external hemorrhoids exhibit pain and swelling in the area of the anus.

[0006] The internal and external hemorrhoids are different. Bleeding significantly causes anemia in patients. The external hemorrhoids are painful. The pain may persist for 2-3 days. Further the pain id accompanied with swelling of anal canal. The hemorrhoids cause unhygienic condition in anal canal, itchiness around anus and irritation in anal canal.

[0007] The internal hemorrhoids are usually present with painless bright red rectal bleeding during or following a bowel movement. The blood typically covers the stool, or blood is found on tissue paper or blood drips in toilet. The stool itself is usually normally colored, but when hemorrhoids get inflamed then blood is discharged along with stool. Other symptoms include mucous discharge, a peri-anal mass through the anus, itchiness and fecal incontinence. Internal hemorrhoids are usually painful if they become thrombosed or necrotic.

[0008] The exact cause of symptomatic hemorrhoids is unknown. A number of factors are believed to play a role, including: irregular bowel habits (constipation or diarrhea), lack of exercise, nutritional factors (low-fiber diets), increased intra-abdominal pressure (prolonged straining, ascites, an intra-abdominal mass, or pregnancy), genetics, an absence of valves within the hemorrhoidal veins, and aging. Other factors believed to increase risk include obesity, prolonged sitting, a chronic cough, and pelvic floor dysfunction.

[0009] During pregnancy, pressure from the fetus on the abdomen and hormonal changes cause the hemorrhoidal vessels to enlarge. The birth of the baby also leads to increased intra-abdominal pressures. Pregnant women rarely need surgical treatment, as symptoms usually resolve after delivery.

[0010] Further, the treatment of hemorrhoids is complicated by the fact that during defecation, the fecal mass stretches, tears and irritates the already inflamed and swollen hemorrhoidal tissue. Further, as a result of additional muscle strain during defecation resulting from the physical movement of the fecal mass through the already swollen and inflamed tissue, herniation of the anal walls frequently results. Moreover, the excretory tract is the site of numerous organisms that are infectious and infiltrate the anal cavity herniations. This infiltration further damage already damaged tissue and aggravates the healing process. If left untreated hemorrhoids often worsen and require surgery to remove the diseased hemorrhoidal tissue.

[0011] Many remedies are known for the targeting these symptoms. Most of the remedies in the art have varying degrees of success, and few remedies have been successful in the substantially reducing or completely eliminating hemorrhoids without any side effects.

[0012] Conservative treatment typically consists of foods rich in dietary fiber, intake of oral fluids to maintain hydration, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, sitz baths, and rest. Increased fiber intake has been shown to improve outcomes and may be achieved by dietary alterations or the consumption of fiber supplements. Evidence for complete eradication and benefits from the conservative treatment is lacking.

[0013] A number of office-based procedures may be performed. While generally safe, rare serious side effects such as peri-anal sepsis may occur. Rubber band ligation is typically recommended as the first-line treatment in the patients with grade or stage 1 to 3 of disease. It is a procedure in which elastic bands are applied onto an internal hemorrhoid at least 1 cm above the dentate line to cut off its blood supply. Within 5-7 days, the withered hemorrhoid falls off. If the band is placed too close to the dentate line, intense pain results immediately afterwards. Cure rate has been found to be about 87% with a complication rate of up to 3%. Sclerotherapy involves the injection of a sclerosing agent, such as phenol, into the hemorrhoid. This causes the vein walls to collapse and the hemorrhoids to shrivel up. The success rate four years after treatment is about 70%. A number of cauterization methods have been shown to be effective for hemorrhoids, but are usually only used when other methods fail. This procedure can be done using electrocautery, infrared radiation, laser surgery, or cryosurgery. Infrared cauterization may be an option for grade 1 or 2 disease. In those with grade 3 or 4 disease, reoccurrence rates are high.

[0001] A number of surgical techniques are used if conservative management and simple procedures fail. All surgical treatments are associated with some degree of complications including bleeding, infection, anal structures and urinary retention, due to the close proximity of the rectum to the nerves that supply the bladder. Also, a small risk of fecal incontinence occurs, particularly of liquid, with rates reported between 0% and 28%. There are undesirable side effects of these known treatments.

[0002] In the past there were cases that even after surgery the patient didn't heal but because of some elements such as camazolene. Camazolene is anti flaming- and Linoleic acid which is disinfectant and heals severe injuries. The other treatments in the market are creams which are macromolecules. The macromolecules are less absorbable by body tissues.

[0003] These undesirable side effects of these treatments prevent patients from obtaining adequate relief.

[0004] Hence, there is a need for a treatment for hemorrhoids that substantially or completely eliminates hemorrhoids. Also there is a need for a simple herbal composition which eliminates hemorrhoids while being free of undesirable side effects associated with the treatment. Further there is a need for a simple method to synthesize the herbal composition for treating hemorrhoids.

[0005] The above mentioned shortcomings, disadvantages and problems are addressed herein and which will be understood by reading and studying the following specification.
