Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a non-pharmaceutical anti-human coronavirus composition capable of preventing human coronavirus infection, the onset from the infection, and the aggravation of symptoms caused by the infection. The anti-human coronavirus composition according to the present invention comprises, as an active ingredient, an extracellular polysaccharide produced by lactic acid bacteria belonging to the genus Lactobacillus. In addition, the lactic acid bacteria belonging to the genus Lactobacillus are preferably lactic acid bacteria belonging to the species Lactobacillus delbrueckii, and are particularly preferably Lactobacillus delbrueckii subsp. bulgaricus OLL1073R-1 (FERM BP-10741).
