Abstract:

[Problem] To provide an anti-inflammatory liquid composition for covering the oral mucosa in order to prevent the worsening and allow the healing of injuries and inflammation, said composition being different from existing oral care products, adhering to the mucosa in the oral cavity to form a coating film that exhibits excellent rapid-drying properties and persistence, and protecting the oral mucosa from external stimulation by covering an affected area or the like where an injury or inflammation has occurred. [Solution] An anti-inflammatory liquid composition for covering oral mucosa that contains rosin, shellac and a solvent, the rosin content being 1–15% by weight relative to the entire composition, the shellac content being 35–45% by weight relative to the entire composition, and the total rosin, shellac, and copal content being 45–55% by weight relative to the entire composition.
