Abstract:
The present invention pertains to the field of X-ray medical diagnoses and to that of X-ray defect detection and can be used for selecting a secondary scattered radiation. This invention essentially relates to an anti-scattering X-ray raster consisting of a cellular structure that comprises a multitude of tubular channels (1) for conveying the X-rays, wherein the walls of said channels are made of a material capable of absorbing said X-ray radiation and the walls of adjacent channels are fused together. In a first embodiment, the walls of the channel have the shape of a cylindrical surface or of the side surface of a prism and their inputs and outputs are located on two parallel planes which are perpendicular to the longitudinal axes of the channels. In a second and a third embodiments, the walls of the channels have the shape of the side surfaces of truncated cones or truncated pyramids having a common summit. In the second embodiment, the channels inputs and outputs are provided on two cylindrical and concentric surfaces (4, 5) having a centre that coincide with the common summit of the truncated pyramids and cones. In the third embodiment, the inputs and outputs are provided on two parallel planes perpendicular to the axis of one of the channels located in the central area of the anti-scattering raster. The dimensions of the channels are selected so that it is impossible to have more than a single reflection of the radiation by the walls of said channels.
