Title:
ANTICANCER AGENT
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2021/044640
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
[Problem] The objective of the present invention is to provide an anticancer agent for stopping the division of cancer cells. [Solution] The present invention provides an anticancer agent that, for a case in which an acid will be added, is an acid solute. The enzyme ASB7, which causes cancer cell division, has an optimal pH, and therefore if the pH value inside cancer cells is caused to deviate from the optimal pH value, the enzyme no longer functions. Thus, if cancer cells are made to be acidic by adding an acid to the cancer cells for the purpose of changing the hydrogen ion concentration inside the cancer cells, the pH inside the cancer cells changes and deviates from the optimal pH value, and therefore the enzyme ASB7 that causes cancer cells to divide no longer functions, whereby the division of cancer cells is stopped. The present invention provides an anticancer agent that, for a case in which a base will be added, is a base solute. The enzyme ASB7, which causes cancer cell division, has an optimal pH, and therefore if the pH value inside cancer cells is caused to deviate from the optimal pH value, the enzyme no longer functions. Thus, if cancer cells are made to be basic by adding a base to the cancer cells for the purpose of changing the hydrogen ion concentration inside the cancer cells, the pH inside the cancer cells changes and deviates from the optimal pH value, and therefore the enzyme ASB7 that causes cancer cells to divide no longer functions, whereby the division of cancer cells is stopped.
