Abstract:
Disclosed is an apparatus for cutting off the bottom of garlic, the apparatus enabling the bottom of garlic to be cut off as small as possible. The apparatus for cutting off the bottom of garlic, according to the present invention, may comprise: a garlic transfer-alignment unit for aligning all the bottoms of garlic in one direction on the basis of bottom direction information detected by means of a first vision camera while the garlic is transferred in a line by means of a conveyor; and a garlic bottom cutting unit for moving the garlic forward at a predetermined distance calculated on the basis of bottom length information detected by means of a second vision camera, and then cutting off the bottom, while a garlic handling robot is holding and fixing the garlic when the garlic has been supplied to a cutting position from the garlic transfer-alignment unit.
