Abstract:
An apparatus for manufacturing a moving hand-rail of a passenger conveyer, which comprises a material-inserting port (2) for feeding a thermoplastic resin, a heater for heating the fed thermoplastic resin, a molding machine (1) for extruding and forming the thermoplastic resin being in a fluidized state and a tooth shape forming tool (7) for forming tooth shapes in the back face of a material (5) for the moving hand-rail at a prescribed spacing in the longitudinal direction thereof in the meantime when the material (5) for the moving hand-rail keeps a temperature at which the material is plastically transformable; and a method for manufacturing a moving hand-rail of a passenger conveyer using the apparatus. The above apparatus for manufacturing a moving hand-rail of a passenger conveyer allows the formation of tooth shapes at a prescribed spacing in the longitudinal direction in the back face of a moving hand-rail, by adopting a series of steps.
