Abstract:
The present invention relates to an apparatus for manufacturing a seamless pipe through friction stir welding of a metal extruded material, which has been extruded by an extrusion method. The present invention provides, according to an aspect, a seamless pipe manufacturing apparatus comprising: a container for containing a material to be extruded therein, the container having an extrusion hole composed of a plurality of ports; a stem for pressurizing the material to be extruded and thereby extruding the material to be extruded through the extrusion hole; a rectification mold for rectifying the material to be extruded, which is extruded through the extrusion hole, into the shape of a metal pipe, the rectification mold comprising a metal pipe discharge path for discharging the same to the outside; a plurality of rotation members installed on the rectification mold, each rotation member having a stirring tip on one surface to be inserted into a joint surface formed by abutment of a plurality of metal pieces, which are discharged through the extrusion hole, the rotation members rotating the stirring tips while contacting the joint surface, thereby performing friction stir welding; and a driving device for distributing and delivering rotation driving force to the plurality of rotation members.
