Abstract:
The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for co-culturing cells. The present invention comprises: a first block including a first port hole and a second port hole, each of which vertically extends therethrough, the first port hole and the second port hole being sealed by a first airtight cover and a second airtight cover, respectively; a second block coupled to the bottom of the first block and including a first hole and a second hole, each of which vertically extends therethrough, the first hole and the second hole communicating with the first port hole and the second port hole, respectively; a third block coupled to the bottom of the second block and including a connection groove connecting the lower portion of the first hole and the lower portion of the second hole to each other; and a porous membrane inoculated with animal cells and positioned inside the first port hole or the first hole, wherein an anaerobic atmosphere is provided above the porous membrane, and an aerobic atmosphere is provided below same.
