Abstract:
Disclosed are an apparatus and method for detecting a traffic lane in real time. The disclosed apparatus for detecting a traffic lane in real-time includes: a candidate region setup unit for setting a region having an intensity corresponding to the brightness of a traffic lane, among the intensities of brightness in a color space of a color image, as a candidate region for detection of a traffic lane; and a traffic lane determination unit for determining a traffic lane in the candidate region using a straight-line component of the set candidate region. According to the present invention, it is possible to accurately and rapidly detect a traffic lane even in environments with various changes in the lighting of roads.
