Provided is an apparatus for preparing ethylene and/or acetylene using hydrocarbon, comprising: a reaction chamber (13), a burner (11), a fuel gas inlet (12) and an oxygen inlet (18) which are integrated with or separate from each other, preheating tubes (14), a gas distributer (15), a pyrolysis gas inlet (16), and a reaction product outlet (17). The gas distributor (15) is provided on the cross section of the reaction chamber (13) and has a gas inlet and a gas outlet, the gas inlet being communicated with the pyrolysis gas inlet (16) and the gas outlet being communicated with an opening on one end of each of the preheating tubes (14). After being evenly distributed by the gas distributor (15), a pyrolysis gas is transferred to the preheating tubes (14), the preheating tubes (14) being hollow tubes. The opening on the other end of each of the hollow tubes approaches or enters a fuel gas and oxygen combustion area. After being preheated in the hollow tubes, the pyrolysis is transferred to the fuel gas and oxygen combustion area. During a pyrolysis reaction, a reaction product pervades around the hollow tubes to preheat the pyrolysis gas in the hollow tubes.
