Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for reproducing a facial expression by using an existing motion-based 3D avatar without a 3D avatar model production process for additional modification or facial expression reproduction of a 3D avatar model, for facial expression reproduction of a 3D avatar. The present invention comprises: a training data generating unit that obtains training data of various pieces of facial expression data by using the 3D avatar; a parameter estimating unit that extracts a parameter for facial expression reproduction by using the training data; and a reproducing unit for reproducing a facial expression of the 3D avatar by reflecting a real-time facial expression of a user by using the extracted parameter. The present invention provides high compatibility of immediately using a 3D avatar model used in an existing animation, movie, or game, in a system that requires a facial reproduction technology, such as a virtual meeting using a 3D avatar, without a professional animation technology.
