Disclosed in an apparatus and a method thereof in a wireless communication system are provided. The method may include determining a mode of a terminal and/or a base station, and performing at least one of transmitting an uplink channel, receiving a downlink channel, not transmitting an uplink channel, or not receiving a downlink channel based on the determined mode.
