Abstract:
The present invention relates to an apparatus for processing laundry, the apparatus comprising: a cabinet forming an outer shell; a drum rotatably provided in the interior of the cabinet to accommodate laundry water; a driving unit for generating rotational power to rotate the drum; a power transmission unit, provided on one side of the drum, for transmitting the rotational power generated in the driving unit to the drum to rotate along with the drum; and one or more balancers provided on the inner circumferential surface of the drum, wherein the water is selectively supplied to the interior of the balancer to mitigate the state of imbalance that occurs in the drum, and the length of the balancer is shorter than the longitudinal length of the drum.
